Third Horse Coffee – More Than Just a Cup of Coffee, A Story of Love and Purpose Beth and Mark were preparing for an empty nest when their journey took an unexpected turn—adoption. In 2009, they welcomed a son from China. A year later, they felt called to adopt again. While camping in Assateague, Maryland, a powerful story and a late-night prayer led Mark to ask for a sign. Instead of a shooting star, three wild horses appeared—confirming their decision to adopt two more children, completing their family of three adopted kids. One of them, Josiah, was later diagnosed with an intellectual disability. Years later, as he approached graduation, Beth and Mark remembered a video about a coffee shop employing adults with disabilities. What once seemed like a great idea for someone else became their calling. Inspired by their story and Josiah’s love for people, Third Horse Coffee was born—a place where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can thrive, find purpose, and be part of the community. We proudly serve coffee made with the finest beans, fueling meaningful connections—one cup at a time. 🐴☕ Join us in making a difference. Welcome to Third Horse Coffee!
